I managed to find a 20" monitor with a lowwer native resolution for fairly cheap, so I wanted to get that instead of a 19".

Sound: Realtek 7.1 High Definition Audio
PSU: 550W
Case: ATX Midi Tower Case
     > Case specs

# 3 x 5.25" Drive Bays
# 4 x 3.5" (2xInt, 2xExt) Bays
# 2 x 400MHz DDR slots (2GB max)
# 1 x Parallel Port, 1 x Serial Port
# 6 x USB2 (2 Front, 4 Back)
# 1 x RJ45 Network Port (10/100)
# Realtek 7.1 High Definition Audio Sound
# Dimensions (mm) - 192 (W) x 432 (H) x 445 (D)

I was trying to deicde between a 19" monitor with 1280 x 1024 (native res) and a 20.1" 1600 x 1200 (native res) I would save for the 20.1" but it'd take some time so I decided in the end for the 19" I will be buying a seperate PSU, the default wattage is 400W.

I am no longer building my own computer. I searched around, and with the help of a friend, managed to find a powerfull system which is already built.

I will be getting it from Novatech, a computer store here in the UK.

I cannot wait for this thing. It'll rape every game I plan to play, and every app I intend to run!

With that graphics card, I'll be able to get a solid 80-120 fps in games such as Counter-Strike: Source, BF and splinter cell Chaos Theory with all settings turned up high and maybe some AA & AF

First post of 2007...

... yeah, I've been busy. School work, not school work, and it goes on. This year is going to be awesome, I can't wait for the summer.

Let's see, in June I will be buying all the parts for a new PC which I will be building for myself :P
Can't wait for that. Finally, a decent computer... and it's a desktop, not a crappy laptop. I'm just about done with laptops now, I think.

The PC is specially designed for heavy multimedia editing since that's what I'll be doing in my gap year besides getting a job and learning to drive.

Here are the rough specs as of now. They may well change.

OS: Windows XP Professional SP2
Processor: 2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
RAM: 2GB DDR2 800MHz G.Skill 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM, Dual Channel
HDD: 250GB Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 7200 RPM, 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s
Graphics Card: 256MB GDDR2 Nvidia GeForce 7600GS
Mother Board: Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard
Cooling: Zalman 9500CNPS Heatsink/Fan
Monitor: Samsung 940N 19" (Black) 8ms LCD
PSU: SeaSonic S12-430 ATX12V 430W
Case: Antec Performance One P180B (Black)
