Amazon.co.uk are going to restrict orders for the Xbox 360 Amazon will be restricting the number of XB360 consoles it's customers can purchase... this is basically to ensure that as many people are able to get one in time for Christmas.

The all singing, all dancing, ultra-smart new console is set to hit the UK shops on December 2nd, But reports suggest that a mere 300,000 consoles have made it to Europe.

Apparently retailers have already warned customers that the lack of supply to Europe will not meet the expected demand from keen gamers over the Christmas period. As a consequence; Amazon has restricted orders for the console to one per customer account... "We have to ensure that as many customers as possible can have an Xbox 360 for Christmas Day". I think this was a sensible decision to make, given that the XB360 is clearly going to be as bigger hit in Europe as it was in the US, restricting the console to one per customer makes sense to me. Why should others be deprived as a consequence of another's greed?

Well I need a telephoto lens for my Nikon D50, and im thinking the Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm. It's a nice £199 RRP but ill be able to get it for £189.99... so It's all good. It will mean I now have to ask for money for Christmas, but that's fine.

It's like a perfect setup for me. I already have the Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm lens, so if I get the Nikkor 55-200mm Id have from 18mm (Wide angle) right the way up to 200mm (Telephoto) for now. This should suffice but I just need to get that bit closer to subjects, (Birds & Small birds), that are, say, in a tree. At the moment this is not quite possible.

My friend has the exact same lens I plan to get so it's not like I don't have clue what I am getting my self into. It's a brilliant lens in fact, I've tried it before. It's focal length is astounding... we got a tight, yet seemingly cropped shot from our 6th form study room of the root base of a tree out across a field.

Later, maybe, I will be able to get a teleconverter... this way I will then have the ability to zoom in even closer to subjects that are typically further away. I've seen some awesome shot's at 200mm by Charles Miller.

Oh! But wait... I have been doing some more research and consequently found something in addition to the Nikkor 55-200mm... the Nikon AF 70-300 ED Zoom Nikkor... now this is a smart, neat and AWESOME piece of technology and strangely cheaper then the 55-200mm. Not only that but I get an EXTRA 100mm focal length making it 18-300mm of zoom, to really get those far away subjects. I don't know which one i shall get.

Last week I wrote an article about the $100 Wind-up laptops being sent out to children in the developing countries. This was part of some 'research' for my design technology lighting project and apparently it 'ties in' with the project?... how? Well here's the article.

Whilst we're on the subject of media (related) things I want to introduce you to Final Fantasy... anybody who hasn't seen any of the movies or played any of the games should. Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is a fantastic movie with amazing CGI, the fight scenes are spectacular and the sound is brilliant. If English, you'd be watching the movie with subtitles... which can be a pain as some of the dialogue hardly stays up there for long enough to read.

Well as you might know I went up to London today to get a Nikon D50 for Photography course. The only thing I need now is a memory card, but I've already ordered a 1GB SD memory card off of Amazon, 1st class. As I lack a memory card I haven't really been able to fully experiment and play around with the camera but I have had it out of the box, getting to grips with all the controls and its general functionality. I think Im going to really enjoy using it. It's a grate camera. I will post some pictures up when I feel like it.

Severely pissed off, after struggling through three exercises of "Formulae and expressions" from the dreaded maths book. Maths can actually be 'cool' at times (when you can fly through topics like ratio, percentages or index notation and standard form)

Well on Tuesday night I'll be getting a Nikon D50 for my photography course. I've read up on all its features and everything... I think it's going to be an awesome camera to use when I get it. It's an ideal camera for the course and for me... not too advanced or expensive at around £500. I prefer the black bodied one and I will be getting it with either a Nikon 18-70mm.DX lens or an Nikon 18-55mm.DX lens, this depends on how things work out... I have chosen to do 'details' for my course so that'll require that I do a lot of close up/macro shooting, consequently a wide angel lens will not be needed.

Ive posted a few links below if you want to find out more about the Nikon D50.

I am proposing to devise a 'comments system' where you can all write comments/remarks or opinions or whatever based on what I write here... basically each blog entry I write you can post a comment. I am working on the back-end script for it and it should be complete by this weekend, fingers crossed.

Maths teacher Mr McManorway gave me a whole chapter of work straight from the book to work on over the weekend and be done by Monday, chapter topic... algebra.

This is a piss take. It's like 4 pages of questions... what an idiot.

I have decided Im not going to do it but move on to the next chapter, do that, and then use the excuse that "I didn't understand the algebra" then get some help on the algebra chapter back at school.

On a more positive note I made this 'cool' signature picture for all the forums I am a member of. It took about five minutes to whip up in Photoshop using some screen pictures from the film it's self. I plan to do a better one later on but for now here is the result...

We have a new car!
Yes it's an Isuzu Rodeo; I don't know the model but its pretty cool, colour... Cape Blue Metallic. The car has a very American look about it. Inside you don't exactly get all the bells and whistles but it's very spacious (especially in the back), with plenty of boot room for the dog. It's a good car, I like it.

I shall post some pictures up tomorrow.

-----Edit-----

Ok so I did say I'd post up some picture(s) as opposed to just one but ironically I only have one to post up... here it is, the car...
